Downtown Raleigh Elopement | NC Wedding Photographer | Andrea and Justin
So, with the world having changed the way it has due to this casual pandemic, wedding photographers are seeing a big rise in elopements… And we are here. for. them. Because you know what? Elopements can be the most fun. No, for, real, hear me out.
Yes, elopements tend to be a little more private, and a lot more intimate. They may be in government institutions like a courthouse (Or, in my own case, a jail -- yes, it’s true, and it was awesome. We can talk about that another time.).
But… They don’t have to all be brides in white pantsuits. They don’t have to be a quick in-and-out so the next couple can get hitched right after you, and maybe you go to your favorite spot for brunch afterward. They don’t have to be totally devoid of all of the fun things that couples plan into each and every moment of a much bigger wedding.
They can be colorful, and bright, and in stylish spaces, and with pink ombre cakes. In fact, more should have pink ombre cakes. They can have painted yellow leather jackets! I painted this one, and I want to paint more so… let’s do that?
Simplifying the wedding from a big day- or weekend-long event does not have to mean skimping on the beautiful dress, or the stunning floral arrangement, or fun details like gradient place cards and confetti, and clearly Andrea and Justin’s styled “elopement” spared none of these to-die-for details.
